Tern Tern Tern
Toronto, Ontario, 1984
Tern Tern Tern pays homage to the large ferns which inhabit Canada’s West Coast rain forests. The curved and the balanced movement of each fern head is meant to mimic the action of the weight shift caused by falling rain drops rolling off the ferns.
The fern heads made of cold rolled steel were hammered in a wooden mould to create the curved shape.
Tern Tern Tern is part of the McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada collection located at their head office in Toronto, Ontario.
