Lindabrunn Sculpture
Symposium Lindabrunn
Austria, 1985
In 1975 the founding philosophic precept of the Lindabrunn Stone Symposium was that any site development would be through collective discourse and action of artist teams.
The symposium site, a 25 acre abandoned quarry, was 30 miles from Vienna, Austria. In 1985, I participated with 10 artists from the then Communist Bloc and Japan. We had no common language except for drawing, gesture, grunts and sculptural action.
Our team’s contribution was an amenity for local immigrant Turkish Families.
